Event Description

MCEC is conducting a Student 2 Student (S2S) training for K-12 schools. S2S is a peer-to-peer student led program that brings military and civilian students together to welcome new students, create a positive environment for all, support educational opportunities, build connections through service and ease school transitions.

Training Objectives:

S2S Teams will:

Understand the unique needs of military-connected students.
Describe how the MCEC S2S program helps mitigate academic, social and emotional challenges for students.
Identify and apply the six core values of S2S.
Learn how to use service opportunities to create a sustainable S2S program.
Identify components of a successful S2S program and apply them to the S2S Team.
Use team building and communication skills to foster relationships.
Develop and action plan for the school's S2S program.

Continuing Education Credits:

Upon completion of the post-training survey, participants may apply for continuing education credits. CE credit applications must be received within 12 months from the completion of the training.
